Beyoncé Knowles and her husband Jay-Z welcomed a baby girl into the world on Sunday 8 January 2011.

Kelly Rowland origiannly spilt the beans about the baby's gender, but it was Gwyneth Paltrow who tweeted to confirm that the baby's name was Blue Ivy Carter.

"Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already," tweeted Paltrow.

We like, but we'd much rather it was Ivy Blue Carter, and until Paltrow ended speculation rumour was that the baby's name was actually the latter. Thank goodness for the social networking site.
